Bahamii was a new product entering a crowded snack category without an established visual identity or packaging system.
The brand needed to stand out on shelf, communicate key product benefits quickly, and create a repeatable design system that could scale across flavors and marketing channels.
IDENTITY — logo design
The goal was to create an identity that felt modern and confident in a crowded snack category. Something that reads instantly on shelf and still feels distinctive in social and marketing. The wordmark is built for bold legibility and repeatability: a strong horizontal footprint, clear letterforms, and a modular structure that supports a scalable packaging system.
Bahamii’s name derives from the Persian word 'Baham' meaning 'together’, like on a date - our main ingredient! Bahamii’s logo is tied together and ends with two "i"s, symbolizing two people on a date. Ending “ii” became a deliberate signature, reinforcing the idea of two people paired. The result is a logo that’s both functional (fast read, flexible usage) and branded (distinctive silhouette across flavors and formats).
VISUAL SYSTEMS — color palette
Flavor-led palette built to keep hierarchy consistent while variants change.
DESIGN PROCESS — timeline
-
Brand research with founder/CEO, category scan, early logo explorations
-
Finalize wordmark + logo suite (prepared for trademark review)
-
Packaging architecture, claims hierarchy, flavor/variant system
-
Sourced and compared flow-wrap printing options (with a path to future box formats)
-
Production builds on dielines, print drafts, revisions
-
Brand guidelines, vendor-ready files and organized asset handoff
-
Set up initial social system and templates (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn)
Packaging only works if it’s built for production from the start.
I designed directly on the manufacturer dielines to lock in trim, folds, glue/seal areas, and safe zones before refining the visual system. This ensured the hierarchy stayed consistent across panels and that key elements (logo, flavor, claims, barcode, and legal copy) remained readable and compliant once the box was actually assembled.
I also structured the dieline files with clear layers and repeatable components so new flavors could be rolled out quickly without rebuilding the layout each time.
WORKING WITH DIELINES — flow wraps & box packaging
